About This Qualification

Our Ceiling Fixing NVQ qualification is aimed at those who are involved with interior systems (ceiling fixing, dry lining finishing and protection barrier installations) in Construction. Although it is not expected that all workers will complete the same tasks, there are 3 mandatory units common to all pathways. The group of optional units will allow employees with specific skills and from companies of all sizes equal opportunity to complete.

 

Requirments

Each candidate who is enrolled on the Ceiling Fixing NVQ is required to meet a basic candidate agreement with VELA Training;

  • Must be aged 18+
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in working on site
  • Must be at literacy level 1 standard
  • Be actively working in the Ceiling Fixing sector

What will the cost be?

Level 2 NVQ -  £1,000 - £1,300 Inc VAT depending on funding or delivery model.

Level 3 NVQ -  £1,300 - £1,500 Inc VAT depending on funding or delivery model.

 

Funding Support

In many cases the company you are working for can provide funding support through an association they are a member of or the CITB through the Grant Claim Back process.

Restrictions

A pre-induction will be carried out before enrolment by the assessor to make sure a candidate is competent to carry out any NVQ qualification.

A Risk Assessment will be carried out at the start of every visit. If your assessor feels that you are not working in a safe environment, we reserve the right to halt the assessment.

All candidates must demonstrate a good level of spoken English.
